Job Description
We are a small public accounting firm in downtown Clayton looking for a full-time tax professional. Our firm is primarily focused on tax preparation & consulting including individual, trust, small to mid-size business and non-profit tax returns. We also provide bookkeeping and compilation work, payroll and general business consulting services.
We are looking for a proactive, self-starting individual to join our small business accounting and tax preparation team. This individual will be responsible for preparation of individual, trust, and small business tax returns as well as coordination of periodic accounting for clients; work closely with partners to ensure clear communication and to accomplish project goals. The candidate will be expected to manage multiple projects and keep colleagues informed of project status and expected completion dates as needed. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must. CCH Axcess or Prosystems Tax, QuickBooks desktop and QuickBooks Online experience is a plus.
The ideal candidate would have at least 2 years prior income tax preparation experience.
The position is available immediately and is eligible for our benefits package which includes 100% paid health, dental and vision insurance for the employee. Other benefits include paid parking, 401(k) matching up to 4% of wages and paid time off as earned.
