World CopperSmith is hiring an HR Manager to lead recruiting, people operations, and performance management as the company scales from ~16 to 25+ employees and beyond.

This is a hands-on role for someone who combines strong people skills with analytical thinking, business judgment, and execution discipline. The HR Manager will own day-to-day people operations while partnering closely with leadership to improve hiring quality, employee performance, engagement, and retention.

 

Key Responsibilities

Recruiting & Talent Depth

  • Lead full-cycle recruiting across departments and seniority levels
  • Build depth and optionality in candidate pipelines to reduce hiring risk
  • Partner with leadership to define role requirements and hiring priorities
  • Improve hiring processes, interview quality, and decision discipline

Interviewing & Selection

  • Conduct structured interviews and support managers with consistent evaluation frameworks
  • Assess candidates for skill, cultural fit, performance potential, and scalability
  • Help leadership make clear, well-reasoned hiring decisions

Employee Performance & Engagement

  • Support managers with goal-setting, feedback, and performance management tools
  • Identify early indicators of performance, engagement, or retention risk
  • Partner with leadership on addressing underperformance constructively and professionally

Compensation & Retention Analysis

  • Conduct salary benchmarking and compensation analysis
  • Support compensation decisions with market data and internal equity considerations
  • Monitor turnover trends and proactively flag retention risks

People Operations & Analytics

  • Maintain HR systems, documentation, and core people processes
  • Track and analyze key HR metrics (hiring quality, performance trends, retention)
  • Provide leadership with clear, data-driven insights to support people decisions

 

Qualifications

  • 5–8+ years of experience in HR, People Operations, or Talent Management
  • Proven experience leading recruiting and interviewing across multiple roles
  • Strong analytical skills and business judgment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build trust across teams
  • Experience with compensation analysis and salary benchmarking
  • Highly organized, proactive, and self-directed
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-growing, performance-oriented environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Management, Business Administration, or a related field required.
