Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and results-driven Event Sales & Marketing Manager to drive the success of our category defining coastal Mediterranean restaurant in collaboration with chef Michael White. This role involves developing and executing sales strategies to increase event bookings, coordinating with clients to deliver seamless experiences, and driving brand visibility through effective marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong background in event sales, marketing, and customer relationship management within the hospitality industry.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to drive event bookings (e.g., corporate events, private parties, weddings, etc.).
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through outreach, networking, and relationship building with potential clients.
  • Manage the end-to-end sales process from lead generation to closing contracts.
  • Collaborate with the management team to set sales targets, monitor performance, and achieve revenue goals.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all event clients, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct site visits, consultations, and menu tastings with clients to customize event offerings.
  • Provide exceptional post-event follow-up to maintain long-term relationships and secure repeat business.
  • In collaboration with PR and marketing consultants, develop and execute marketing plans to promote event offerings, including digital marketing campaigns, social media management, email newsletters, and local advertising.
  • Work closely with third party marketing teams or external agencies to create promotional materials, event packages, and advertising content.
  • Engage with local businesses, vendors, and influencers to enhance brand awareness and drive traffic.
  • Work with restaurant managers to coordinate all event logistics, including staffing, setup, menu selection, and vendor management.
  • Ensure that events are executed flawlessly, meeting both client expectations and company standards.
  • Maintain a detailed calendar of events, tracking all inquiries, bookings, and revenue.
  • Track sales performance, event profitability, and ROI of marketing campaigns.
  • Prepare regular reports for senior management, providing insights on market trends and strategic recommendations.
  • Manage the event sales budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness in all activities.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, techniques, and best practices, continuously striving to elevate the experience offered by the restaurant.
  • Assist with the day to day management of the restaurant as needed.

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a high-end, fine dining establishment or similar environment. New restaurant opening experience preferred.
  • Exceptional sense of genuine hospitality and how to create a warm and welcoming environment for employees and guests.
  • In-depth knowledge of food and beverage service, wine, and fine dining etiquette.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • High level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining composure and professionalism.
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing, social media, and event management tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, hospitality, business, or related field (preferred) OR high school diploma or GED plus a minimum of three years of relevant experience OR five years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to frequently lift/move 30 lbs.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
