Job Title: Entry-Level Construction Estimator

We're currently seeking an Entry-Level Construction Estimator to join our team and assist in delivering accurate, timely estimates for a wide range of construction projects.

Position Overview:

As an Entry-Level Construction Estimator , you will play a key role in the estimating process, working alongside experienced professionals to develop cost estimates, prepare bids, and help ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.
• Review blueprints, specifications, and other project documentation to understand project scope and requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors to gather pricing information and quotes.
• Maintain and update databases of unit costs, material prices, and labor rates.
• Participate in bid preparation and submission, ensuring that all proposals are submitted on time.
• Help evaluate project risks and provide recommendations to mitigate potential cost overruns.
• Learn to identify discrepancies in plans and raise any concerns to senior estimators.
• Assist with post-bid reviews and cost tracking during project execution.
• Stay up to date on industry trends, materials, and construction methods.

Qualifications:

• Experience : One to three years civil construction experience, take off's, and or estimating preferred; Internships or coursework related to estimating, construction, or project management is a plus.
• Skills :
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
  • Basic understanding of construction processes and materials.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), and familiarity with estimating software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
