Dance Instructor

What's the Job?
Do you love dancing and want to share that joy with others? We're looking for a Dance Teacher to join our fun team and help kids and adults learn to dance! You'll work with students of all different levels and teach them cool dance moves. You'll report to the Recreation Supervisor.

What You Get:
You'll earn $21.00 for every hour you work and get a free gym membership at 4500 Fitness!

When You'll Work:
You'll usually work on weekday afternoons and evenings, from about 4:45 PM to 8:00 PM. You'll work around 10-15 hours a week teaching dance and up to 7 extra hours a week preparing. Your schedule might be Monday to Wednesday, but you might be needed on other days too.

What You'll Do Each Day:

• Plan and teach dance lessons to students who might be at different skill levels.
• Create a fun dance routine for the students to perform in the spring recital.
• Build good relationships with students, parents, and co-workers.
• Make sure everyone feels included and happy during class.

About You:

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• You should know a lot about dance, whether from a dance degree, professional experience, or lots of dance classes and competitions.
• You need to know ballet, jazz, tap, and hip hop and be able to teach these to different ages.
• You should be able to work on your own and be great with kids.

First Aid and CPR certified within 90 days (District provided).
