Contentnea Health is a Community Health Center providing comprehensive medical, dental and behavioral health services for members of our communities in Greene, Pitt and Pamlico counties in eastern North Carolina.

Job Summary

Provides secure transport of equipment and supplies between clinics, patient homes and other designated locations.

Responsibilities and Duties

 

1. Performs secure delivery of medications.
   1. Picks up medications from the pharmacy and confirms the accuracy of medications against the delivery orders.
   2. Delivers medications to patients’ homes while ensuring proper handling and confidentiality.

1. Transports equipment, supplies and interoffice mail between clinic locations.
   1. Loads and secures medical equipment for transport to assigned clinical location and ensures correct equipment is delivered to appropriate clinic timely and without damage.
   2. Collects interoffice mail from designated pick-up areas at each location and delivers to the appropriate location.
   3. Transports lab specimens between clinic locations.
   4. Assists with emergency or rush deliveries as needed.
   5. Collects bank deposits from clinic locations and makes secure deposits as directed.

1. Ensures proper maintenance of company vehicle.

1. Performs monthly vehicle inspection to ensure it is in safe operating condition and checks vehicle fluids, tire pressure and overall condition.
2. Schedules regular vehicle maintenance and maintains records.

Qualifications and Skills

Possesses a basic level of written and verbal communication skills, computational and computer skills and mathematical knowledge typically acquired through completion of a high school program.  Current, unrestricted Driver License issued by the State of North Carolina.
