**What you will be doing in this role:**

The Copy Editor (Communications Specialist) supports institutional development, foundation and community engagement efforts through a variety of editing projects, including support for special events. In collaboration with leadership and other collaborators, you will plan and execute multi-media communication strategies including: copyediting for event invitations and collateral, remarks for key executives and Board members, and news release editing and outreach to society media, in addition to general editing assignments for various program purposes/audiences. Contributes content to communication materials for education programs, websites, publications, blog posts, and patient stories. Handles design and implementation of communication materials for special projects and events. Collaborates cross-functionally with internal and external partners to meet department and organizational objectives:

+ Edits and publishes content for internal and external customers to support specific programs, projects, and events.

+ Develops communication plans; coordinates the design and production of communication materials, collaterals, giveaways, etc.

+ Develops and maintains strong relationships with cross-functional partners to effectively plan and execute appropriate communications support.

**Qualifications**

**Requirements:**

Bachelors degree in communications, public health, marketing, public/media relations, or another relevant major is required.

A minimum of 3 years of experience writing, editing, delivering in-depth content, project management or related communications experience required.
