We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Copy of Controller to join our Accounting and Finance team. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in our fast-paced, growing company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the accounting department, ensuring accuracy of financial statements, and maintaining the company's insurance policies. This role will also involve auditing duties and will require a deep understanding of financial accounting systems and principles. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
2. Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
3. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for management review.
4. Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
5. Interact with various internal departments to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
6. Analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner.
7. Ensure the company's financial systems are robust, compliant, and support current activities and future growth.
8. Maintain and manage the company's insurance policies.
9. Implement and maintain internal controls over accounting procedures.
10. Provide strategic guidance around capital financing options to support company growth.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.
3. Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles.
4. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
5. Working knowledge of short and long-term budgeting and forecasting.
6. Experience in engaging with auditors and managing audit processes.
7. Proficiency in accounting software and experience with a software system implementation.
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
9. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
10. Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence, and executive presence – ability to motivate staff.
11. Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills, plus excellent organization skills.
12. Experience in managing and maintaining company insurance policies.
