Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is looking for a Consultative Medical Examiner to provide specialized services in Otolaryngology , Audiology , or Vision for the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services (DDDS). In this critical role, you will review medical records, assess the severity of hearing, speech, or vision impairments, and collaborate with DDDS staff to ensure disability determinations are accurate and fair, in alignment with Social Security regulations.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Review and interpret medical records in otolaryngology, audiology, or vision specialties
  • Assess the severity and functional impact of hearing, speech, or vision impairments
  • Provide expert consultation to DDDS adjudicators, ensuring accurate assessments
  • Attend quarterly meetings to discuss cases and refine adjudication processes
  • Ensure compliance with federal disability guidelines and DDDS protocols

Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

  • Education: Advanced degree (MD, DO, AuD, PhD, or equivalent) in Otolaryngology, Audiology, Vision Sciences, or a related specialty
  • Licensure: Active, unrestricted license in your medical specialty (any state); licensed to conduct business in Washington State
  • Experience: 2+ years of post-graduate specialty experience; 5+ years of DDDS consultation experience preferred
  • Additional Requirements: Must not be excluded from Medicare/Medicaid or federal programs
