Job Description

Job Title: Concrete Laborer / Mason / Finisher

Job Responsibilities:

* Form Setup: Install forms to contain concrete during pouring and curing.
* Surface Preparation: Clean and inspect surfaces to identify and address issues before concrete is poured.
* Concrete Casting: Collaborate with truck drivers to direct the concrete casting process.
* Concrete Application: Pour, smooth, and level concrete using both manual and power tools, including rakes, trowels, floats, screeds, and powered versions of these tools.
* Weather Monitoring: Observe and manage the effects of weather conditions on the concrete curing process.
* Sealing & Hardening: Apply sealers and hardening agents as needed to protect and strengthen concrete.
* Compaction: Operate power vibrators to ensure proper concrete compaction.
* Joint Construction: Create and shape expansion joints using joiners and edging tools.
* Surface Finishing: Polish concrete surfaces with a power surfacing machine for a smooth finish.

Skills & Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent.
* At least 2 years of experience as a concrete laborer or mason.
* Ability to stand, kneel, and lift heavy materials for extended periods.
* Proficient in using hand-held and power tools, including power vibrators, polishers, cutting saws, and edging tools.
* Willingness to work various shifts, including nights and public holidays as needed
