Job Description

Are you looking for a stable, positive work environment where your work is appreciated and your input counts?

Our client is seeking a service-driven, detail-oriented Account Manager to join their growing commercial lines team. This role involves managing and servicing select to mid-market clients with professionalism and care. At this agency, you’re not just a number, you’re part of a team that values long-term relationships, both with our clients and our employees.

Here's what sets the agency apart:

  • Family-Owned and Operated: leadership is local, accessible, and personally invested in your success.
  • Growing, Not Selling: As they expand, they remain proudly independent and have no intention of selling to a large brokerage.
  • Career Growth is Encouraged: They support continuing education, licensing, and professional development so you can grow with the agency.
  • Team-Oriented Atmosphere: You’ll work with experienced, supportive colleagues who want to see you succeed.
  • Your Voice Matters: Employee input is welcomed and often implemented.
  • People Stick Around: Team members have an above-average tenure because they love where they work, and it shows.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage a book of select to mid-market commercial accounts across diverse industries
  • Serve as the day-to-day contact for clients regarding coverage, billing, certificates, endorsements, and renewals
  • Process policy changes, quote new business, and market accounts to carriers
  • Prepare proposals and renewal presentations
  • Maintain accurate client and policy data in the agency management system
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, underwriters, and team members
  • Identify coverage gaps and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Support Producers with client service, retention, and upselling opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with agency and carrier guidelines

Qualifications:

  • Active Property & Casualty insurance license (required)
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in an agency setting
  • Familiarity with various industry risk profiles and insurance needs
  • Strong understanding of commercial lines (e.g. GL, WC, commercial packages, BOPs, EPLI, professional lines, etc.)
  • Familiarity with agency management systems (e.g. AMS360, Applied Epic)
  • Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently
  • Team-oriented with a proactive and positive attitude
  • Bilingual (English/Portuguese) is a plus
  • Experience working with multiple carriers and markets
