We are looking for a skilled Cash Application Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Cleveland, Ohio. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to contribute by ensuring accurate and timely processing of cash applications. The role is ideal for someone with strong expertise in accounts receivable and familiarity with Microsoft Great Plains Dynamics.

Responsibilities:

• Process and apply incoming payments to customer accounts with accuracy and efficiency.

• Manage accounts receivable transactions, ensuring proper documentation and reconciliation.

• Utilize Microsoft Great Plains Dynamics software to handle cash applications and related tasks.

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in payment postings to maintain account accuracy.

• Perform daily cash posting and ensure all payments are recorded promptly.

• Collaborate with internal teams to address payment issues and improve processes.

• Assist in backlog clean-up and ensure timely completion of outstanding cash application tasks.

• Maintain organized records of transactions for audit and reporting purposes.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements within cash application procedures.

• Proven experience in cash applications and accounts receivable functions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Great Plains Dynamics software.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high volumes of transactions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills to resolve discrepancies in payment postings.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with cash posting and payment processing procedures.
