We are seeking a hardworking and eager-to-learn Carpenter Apprentice to join our crew. This is an entry-level position designed for an individual who wants to learn the carpentry trade from the ground up.

As an apprentice, you will work directly under the supervision of our experienced Journeyman Carpenters, assisting them with all phases of construction. This is a "learn-while-you-earn" opportunity. You will be responsible for assisting with hands-on tasks, maintaining a clean and safe job site, and progressively learning the skills necessary to become a skilled carpenter.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Carpenters: Help with all aspects of projects, including framing, installing trim, building forms, and installing cabinetry.
• Site & Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport materials (lumber, tools, supplies) to and around the worksite.
• Tool Operation: Learn the safe and proper use of hand tools (hammers, tape measures, squares) and power tools (saws, drills, sanders).
• Site Maintenance: Keep the job site clean, organized, and free of hazards. This includes sweeping, stacking materials, and removing debris.
• Basic Tasks: Perform assigned tasks such as measuring, cutting, and fastening wood and other materials.
• Safety Compliance: Strictly follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations. Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Learning: Actively listen to instructions, ask questions, and apply feedback to develop your skills.

Qualifications & Skills (Required)

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• A strong, dependable work ethic and a positive attitude.
• A genuine interest in learning the carpentry trade as a career.
• Ability to take direction, follow instructions precisely, and work well in a team environment.
• Excellent punctuality and reliable attendance.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, fractions) for measurements and calculations.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from various job sites.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)

• Previous general labor experience in construction.
• Completion of a pre-apprenticeship program or vocational/trade school coursework in carpentry.
• Basic familiarity with hand tools.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform physically demanding labor for a full workday.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects consistently.
• Must be comfortable working at heights (on ladders and scaffolding).
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).
