Live-in Companion/Caregiver Newport, Rhode Island and West Palm Beach, FL $120,000 annually We are seeking a warm, reliable, and proactive caregiver to support a vibrant woman in her seventies living with cognitive deficiency. She is highly social, full of personality, and thrives in a warm, engaging environment. Your role will be to help her maintain as much independence, joy, and dignity as possible in her daily life through thoughtful companionship, gentle guidance, and supportive care. Key Responsibilities: Provide consistent, compassionate companionship and social engagement Assist with light driving to appointments, errands, and outings Support with daily routines, including dressing, meals, and light housekeeping Prepare simple, nutritious meals with attention to personal preferences Offer gentle cognitive stimulation through conversation, games, music, or short neighborhood walks Monitor safety and well‑being while encouraging autonomy Communicate regularly with family and other caregivers about mood, needs, and changes Be present and emotionally attuned, someone who brings light and steadiness to the day Ideal Candidate: Kind, patient, and emotionally intelligent Loves people and enjoys conversation, laughter, storytelling, and a great listener Has prior experience with dementia or Alzheimer’s care Understands how to support memory loss with grace and is non‑judgmental Holds a valid driver’s license and clean driving record CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to obtain) This position Is for you if you: Believe in meeting people where they are with respect and love Are someone who brings joy into the room with a sense of discretion and can anticipate client needs Can balance structure and spontaneity with ease Want to make a real difference in someone’s day, every day Please do not apply if you do not have live‑in experience caring for someone with dementia or Alzheimer’s and if you cannot live‑in 24/7 (with time off each week).
