Position Title:  Cabinet Installer / Trim Carpenter
Salary: $35-$40/hr.

Trade Design Build is seeking a high-end Cabinet Installer / Trim Carpenter to join our growing team. We are a full-service professional Design-Build firm specializing in both residential and commercial projects throughout the Ithaca area.

This role is ideal for a highly skilled craftsperson with a passion for precision, detail, and delivering exceptional results. The Cabinet Installer/Trim Carpenter will work directly with out cabinet and furniture shop to oversee the installation our custom millwork, cabinetry, and architectural trim on high-end projects, ensuring that every finish meets our exacting standards of quality and design.

Responsibilities

• Install custom cabinetry, millwork, and trim with precision and attention to detail
• Oversee and coordinate daily work of 1-2 team members on-site
• Read and interpret construction drawings and shop drawings accurately
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
• Collaborate with designers, project managers, and clients to ensure alignment with project goals and finish expectations
• Troubleshoot site conditions and ensure seamless fit and finish during installation

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of carpentry experience, with emphasis on cabinetry, finish, or trim work
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and high-end finishing techniques
• Ability to lead and mentor a small team effectively
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in craftsmanship
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
