Since 1978, ACS Technologies (“ACST”) has served the faith-based community, building software to help ministries lead with less stress and more accuracy. ACST enables churches to handle every vital area of their ministry from finances to relationships. We're now the leader in the industry but we've got more work to do, and we need the right talent on board to help with our mission of serving churches with tomorrow's technology.

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper that works with ACS Technologies' software, Realm Accounting to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, with a focus on both general ledger bookkeeping and accounts payable functions.

What You’ll Do:

• Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Generate financial statements and reports as needed.
• Process accounts payable transactions, including invoice verification and approval.
• Prepare and process payments to vendors in accordance with established procedures.
• Reconcile vendor statements and address discrepancies.
• Organize and maintain financial records in an orderly and systematic manner.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
• Assist in financial analysis and budgeting activities.
• Provide insights into financial trends and variances.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to gather necessary financial information.
• Respond to inquiries regarding accounts payable and general ledger matters.
• Stay informed about accounting regulations and compliance requirements.
• Assist in the preparation for audits and ensure compliance with internal controls.
• Work within previously identified processes.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in financial workflows.
• Implement best practices to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of bookkeeping processes.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
• Must have experience with Realm Accounting.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper) are a plus.
• Proven experience as a General Ledger Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
