Job Summary The Benefits Support role is responsible for administering employee benefits processes, including enrollments, terminations, and Qualified Life Event (QLE) changes within Workday. This position also involves responding to benefits-related inquiries via Zendesk from employees, managers, and HR partners. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of HR systems and benefits regulations. Key Responsibilities Process benefits enrollments, terminations, and QLE changes using Workday. Follow up with employees for missing or incomplete documentation related to benefits. Respond to benefits-related tickets submitted via Zendesk, providing accurate and timely support. Advise managers and employees on state and federal employment regulations, collective bargaining agreements, and company policies. Assist with job evaluation tasks including classification, exemption status, and salary determination. Prepare job descriptions, occupational classifications, and salary scales. Maintain and update personnel records and handbooks. Generate reports such as organization charts, career path summaries, and compensation analyses. Required Qualifications 0–2 years of experience in Benefits Administration or a related HR function. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills. Ability to manage workload independently and meet deadlines. Experience handling confidential information with discretion. Proficiency in MS Excel or Google Sheets (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables). Familiarity with HRIS platforms, particularly Workday, and Benefits module functionality. General understanding of regulations related to benefits enrollment and QLEs. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience supporting employees or HR partners through ticketing systems like Zendesk. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team. Certifications (if any) None required.
