Position Summary:
The Mental Health Counselor under the direction of the R.N. is responsible and accountable for performing specific skills and duties which contribute to safe and effective patient care. Among these skills will be leading and co-leading groups.

Onboarding Process: Please be advised that candidates must successfully complete a background check and pre-employment health screening which includes a drug screen.

Qualifications:

Educational Requirements:
B.A. or B.S. in Psychology or Sociology or a bachelor’s degree in another discipline and relevant experience.

Experience Required:

Previous Mental Health Counselor experience is desirable.

Professional Licensure And Certification Required:

BLS

Interpersonal Relationships:

Communicates effectively with patients, families, visitors, co-workers, physicians, and other employees.

Physical Requirements:

Physical health sufficient to meet the ergonomic standards and demands of the position and its location.
