Job Purpose

The Beautiful Residence Inn/SpringHill Suites by Marriott Downtown Greenville is seeking a dedicated Barback/Food Runner for their busy Oak & Honey restaurant. The purpose of a Barback/Food Runner is to be responsible for assisting our bartenders with service to keep the bar operational at all times, as well as to deliver and serve food and/or beverage items in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner resulting in guest satisfaction. Your ultimate goal will be to provide our guests with outstanding customer service and actively help to improve their overall dining experience A high-energy, can-do, friendly attitude is a must.

Essential Job Functions

• Restock liquor, mixers, and garnishes, and ensure bartenders are equipped with clean glasses and ice.
• Uphold food health safety and sanitation principles, including collecting and washing glassware.
• Help bus the bar and tables and run dirty dishes to the kitchen's dishwasher.
• Follow all opening and closing duties during each shift.
• Work Schedule: Tuesday - Thursday: 5 pm - 11:30 pm, Friday & Saturday: 5 pm - 12:30 am * Must be able to work these shifts*

Experience/Education

High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience in bar backing, food running, or bussing preferred. Ability to perform well under pressure. Detail-oriented, organized, and cleanliness-focused. Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs. Must have a flexible schedule (may be required to work late shifts, weekends, or holidays as needed).
