An eDiscovery Associate at Ankura applies expertise in digital forensics, data processing, and predictive analytics to manage and analyze Electronically Stored Information (ESI) for complex legal cases. The role is located in Chicago, New York, San Francisco, or Washington D.C.. There will be hybrid opportunity within these four locations.
Role Overview:
We are seeking an eDiscovery Associate to join our dynamic team. This role involves applying expertise in forensics, processing, production of Electronically Stored Information (ESI), predictive analytics, machine learning, eDiscovery project management, and technology consulting. Our goal is to enhance case strategies, reduce discovery costs, and optimize litigation profiles by effectively collecting, managing, and analyzing vast amounts of structured and unstructured data.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with clients to design efficient eDiscovery workflows.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks, ensuring quality control throughout the eDiscovery lifecycle.
  • Solve technological challenges and provide cost-effective solutions.
  • Utilize the latest advances in data science, predictive analytics, and machine learning to transform large datasets into actionable intelligence.
  • Work with a wide range of industry-standard technologies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • BA/BS in MIS, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Law, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Information Technology, or similar degree.
  • Experience with digital forensics, eDiscovery, processing, and production of ESI a plus.
  • Interest in applying detail-oriented project management skills and cutting edge solutions involving analytics and machine learning to novel data.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clients and team members.
For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in California, Colorado, or New York, Ankura is required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the said markets and considers a broad range of factors including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. The range does not include additional benefits outside of salary. At Ankura, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each role. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range is between $50,000 to $120,000; this range is not a promise of a particular wage.
