Associate Dentist – Part-Time to Full-Time in Ventura, CA – $750-$850 Daily Minimum or 30% Production!
Our family-owned practice, serving the community for over 38 years, is seeking an Associate Dentist to join our dedicated and caring team! This is an excellent opportunity for a dentist looking for a part-time role with the potential to grow to full-time. The ideal candidate will share our values of competence, compassion, and commitment and will have the opportunity to buy into the practice in the future.
About Our Practice:
- Family-owned and operated for 38 years
- Located in a great community
- We are an advanced general dentistry practice offering a wide range of services, from preventive and restorative care to cosmetic, orthodontic, and sedation dentistry
- We are transitioning to a fee-for-service model (currently contracted with Cigna PPO, phasing out over time)
- Our practice is fully equipped with digital dentistry technology including Cerec CAD/CAM, 3D printing, and CBCT imaging
Schedule:
- 1-2 days per week, with the potential to increase to 3-4 days in the future
- Full-time potential with expanded benefits
Compensation:
- Daily minimum of $750-$850 OR 30% of adjusted production earnings (whichever is higher)
- Final compensation based on candidate’s experience
- Part-time benefits: CA sick leave, in-house dental benefits, CPR & First Aid renewal every 2 years, CE opportunities
- Full-time benefits once transitioned to full-time: Medical insurance, 401k, plus all part-time benefits
- CE opportunities available throughout the year
Qualifications:
- DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school
- Active dental license, DEA renewals, and association memberships required (candidate responsible for maintaining these)
- Professional liability insurance required
- 0-5 years of experience (new grads welcome with the right personality and values)
- Commitment to high standards of patient care, with a focus on building long-term relationships
- Strong work ethic, integrity, and motivation
Dentist Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide a full range of general dentistry services (preventive, restorative, oral surgery, endodontics, periodontics, pediatrics, etc.)
- Educate patients on oral health and hygiene
- Diagnose and treat dental conditions
- Work collaboratively with a talented team of dentists, hygienists, and support staff to provide the best care possible
- Perform both routine and advanced procedures, including cosmetic treatments, implants, and sedation dentistry
- Develop treatment plans and provide comprehensive care

Meet Our Senior and Junior Partners:
Philip J. Kroll, DDS, MS (Senior Partner) – With 38 years of experience, Dr. Kroll holds a Master’s in Geriatric Dentistry and is a Fellow in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He has taught occlusion for nearly 20 years at UCLA.
Stephanie M. Hwang Kroll, DDS, FAGD (Junior Partner) – With 9 years of experience, Dr. Kroll is a Fellow of the AGD and is pursuing a Mastership in the AGD and Graduate status in the Kois curriculum. She also taught occlusion at UCLA and served as the Area Director for the Santa Barbara-Ventura County Dental Society.
