We are currently seeking RID-certified ASL Interpreters for in-person appointments at hospitals, medical offices, and other client sites. As a self-employed independent contractor with CyraCom, you choose which appointments to accept. We offer competitive hourly rates. We’re looking for interpreters who possess a high level of skill, proficiency, and professionalism while providing accurate and complete interpretation, maintain integrity and confidentiality of all sensitive information, and can facilitate many kinds of conversations – emergencies, medical procedures, legal situations. Position Details: On-site ASL Interpreter. Job Type: Independent Contractor. As an Independent Contractor Interpreter, you will not be an employee of CyraCom. Instead, you will function as a vendor, providing language interpretation services on an IRS Form 1099 basis. LOCATION: Tucson, AZ. Qualifications: Must be or RID-Certified. Advanced, accurate interpretation skills for repeating critical information between English and American Sign Language. An extensive working knowledge of the NADRID Code of Professional Conduct and familiarity with the Americans with Disabilities Act. We are looking for experienced candidates that have a mixture of the following: Interpretation experience, Professional certification and training, A two- to a four-year degree in interpretation, Higher education both in the United States and in programs taught in the other working language, Experience in relevant areas other than interpretation (e.g., healthcare).
