Job Title: Architectural Designer
Location: West Kingston, RI
Job Type: Full-Time
We’re hiring for an Architectural Designer to join a team that specializes in timber frame projects and custom architectural components. This role involves developing detailed drawing sets, supporting fabrication, and ensuring coordination across materials and construction teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Design architectural plans aligned with codes, project goals, and constructability standards
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, clients, and timber teams
Produce shop drawings and coordinate with fabrication and installation teams
Manage multiple projects at various stages
Assist with material specs and quantity take-offs
Ensure clear communication and documentation throughout project lifecycle
Requirements:
Bachelor’s in Architecture, Drafting, or related field
Proficient in AutoCAD Architecture (2018+); SketchUp or Revit a plus
Strong construction detailing knowledge; timber framing experience a bonus
Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Strong organization, communication, and time management skills
