Job Description

Circular is an award-winning multidisciplinary practice combining sustainable architecture, interiors, branding and experience design.

We are seeking an Architectural Designer with a minimum one year of professional work experience.

Qualified candidates will be available to start work within 30 days. Circular offers an intense but casual, design-driven work environment. Internationally recognized for design excellence, innovative sustainability and social justice, the firm undertakes projects with a variety of scales and programs.

Current projects include numerous public commissions in the NYC DDC Design Excellence program, the New York City School Construction Authority, education projects for private clients, as well as ongoing retail projects for BMW of North America.

Responsibilities will include all aspects of design and project coordination, including research, conceptual design, design development, construction document preparation, and liaising with the contractor and client.

Once hired, you will receive paid training to achieve Passive House Designer certification through PHI. We encourage our employees to lead a healthy and balanced life while meeting the needs of our clients.

Job Requirements

  • Masters of Architecture (preferred) or a 5-year Bachelor of Architecture Degree.
  • Proficiency in Revit required. Strong AutoCAD and Rhino skills a plus.
  • Strong design portfolio (school or professional work).
  • Successful candidates should be well organized with good attention to detail, have excellent communication skills and be capable of generating thoughtful and creative design solutions.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English.
  • Authorization to work in the USA.
